WHERE IT STARTED
Every great workplace has that one person.
You know the one — the person who organized every office pool, planned every birthday surprise, remembered everyone's work anniversaries, and somehow brought the whole team together without being asked. In our office, that person was the heart of our culture.
And then… they left.

Everyone was busy, HR was overwhelmed, and those "someone should plan something" conversations never turned into action. The culture that had taken years to build quietly faded — not with a bang, but with a series of empty lunch breaks and meetings that felt a little less like a team and a little more like strangers.
That's when we realized something important: team culture shouldn't depend on one person. It should be easy for anyone — especially HR — to create simple, fun, memorable moments at work.
And that's how WorkPlayEngage was born.
What we set out to fix
The three things that always killed the fun
Every time someone tried to run an office event, they hit the same walls. We built WPE to knock all three down.
HR teams are stretched thin. Building a game from scratch, managing a spreadsheet, tracking entries manually — it was always too much. So nothing happened. We made setup take 15 minutes, not 15 hours.
